Course offered in Uniuyo | Admission Requirement in the faculty of Business Admin

 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR B.Sc, M.Sc AND Ph.D IN ACCOUNTING
(a)          Bachelors Degree
Applicants must possess:
(i)            5 OLevel credits in English Language, Mathematics and Economics and other two Social Science subjects, in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent
(ii)           An acceptable score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations
(iii)          An acceptable score in the Post UTME screening test conducted by the University
           Candidates seeking admission into the three-year degree programme (through Direct Entry) in any of the Departments in the Faculty shall, in addition to satisfying the general University and Department requirements, must obtain at least a credit in English Language, Mathematics and Economics at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent and possess advanced level qualifications, such as, Upper Credit level in National Diploma, (N.D.) and lower credit level in Higher National Diploma (H.N.D.) in Economics, Finance, Accounting and Management from recognized institutions and professional bodies.
           Admission may also be offered to students transferring from other Departments within the University or from other Universities recognized by the Senate, provided they meet the basic requirements such transfers will be at levels considered appropriate by the Faculty Board of Business Administration.
(b)          Master Degree*
Applicants must possess either:
(i)            A first degree in the relevant subject within the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Senate of the University and obtain a minimum of Second Class Honors with a CGPA of not less than 2.75 on a 5 point scale or 2.50 on a 4 point scale. Or:
(iv)         A Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Senate of the University and obtain a grade not less than a average in the CGPA or 4.00 point.
(j)           Doctor of Philosophy Degree*

Applicants must possess: *NOTE: In addition to the above, intending postgraduate candidates must possess the basic level credits in WASSCE or NECO and this MUST include English, Mathematics and Economics.
