PROGRAMMES OFFERED WITH ADMISSION
REQUIREMENTS
(a) Bachelor
of Engineering (B. Eng in Agricultural Engineering)
(b) Bachelor
of Engineering (B. Eng in Food Engineering). Admission Requirement: Five O.
Level credits should include English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any
other subject. A credit is required for Food Engineering.
(c) Postgraduate
Diploma PGD in Agricultural Engineering
Admission Requirements
B. Eng. In any discipline related
to Agricultural Engineering with a minimum of not less than Third Class Honours
division. HND (with a minimum of lower credit) in Agricultural Engineering or a
related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
(d) Postgraduate
Diploma PGD in Food Engineering
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
related to Food Engineering not below Third Class Honours from a recognized
institution. HND (with a minimum of lower credit) in Food Engineering or a
related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
(e) Master
Degree M.Eng in Agricultural Engineering
i. A
candidate must hold a minimum of Second Class (Lower) honours degree in
Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline of the University of Uyo or
any other recognised institution of higher learning.
ii. A
holder of bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a recognised
University plus a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Agricultural Engineering of the
University of Uyo with 60% (B) average pass.
(f) Master
Degree M.Eng in Food Engineering
i. A
candidate must hold a minimum of a Second Class (Lower) honours degree in Food
Engineering or any other related discipline of the University of Uyo or any
recognized institution.
ii. A
bachelor's degree from a recognized institution plus a Postgraduate Diploma
(PGD) with 60% (B) average score and above, in Food Engineering of the
University of Uyo.
(g) Doctorate
Degree Ph.D in Agricultural Engineering
Candidates who hold the Master of
Engineering (M. Eng) Degree or its equivalent qualification in Agricultural
Engineering of the University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the
Postgraduate School Board, with an average score of not less than 60%,
(B). (h) Doctorate Degree Ph.D in Food Engineering
Candidates with the Master of
Engineering (M.Eng) degree or its equivalent in Food Engineering of the
University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Postgraduate School
Board may register for the Ph.D degree programme. Such candidates shall have an
average score of not less than 60% (B -average).
