An Illustrious Son of ORO Bows Out as Governor Udom Admonished Police Officers to Emulate Him

Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel has commiserated with the Nigeria Police Force on the
demise of a former Inspector General of Police retired Late Chief Etim Inyang.
Governor Emmanuel gave
the condolence during a visit on him by the Inspector General of Police Alhaji
Ibrahim Idris at Government House, Uyo.
He described the late
Etim Inyang as a gallant Officer who put in his best for the progress of the
Nigeria Police force and rose to the apex in the service of the force before
his retirement.
The Governor noted with
delight the contribution of the police force to ensure peace and stability in
the state and sued for more of such relationship.
He lauded Mr Idris on
his elevation and reforms witnessed in the Nigeria Police Force and appealed to
the Police Boss to post more men of the force to the state which bears the
treasure of the Nation.
Earlier, the Police
Inspector General Alhaji Ibrahim Idris represented by the Deputy Inspector
General Mr Emman Inyang said that the visit was to intimate the Governor of the
funeral of the late Inspector General and to condole with the people of the
state over the loss of their illustrious son.
He announced that the
funeral of the deceased begins on the 21st of this month and intimate the
Governor that the state will play host to distinguished personalities across
the country.
